Peacefully on December 26, 2022, Raymond Benjamin MacDonald passed away at the Health Science Centre at the age of 85 years.
Raymond was a very proud husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, but what he loved most was being a grandfather and a great grandfather. Even at the end when he didn’t have the will or strength to make a big deal about visitors at the hospital the grandkids would get him to try to sit up and play with them. Their time spent with grandpa at the farm was and still is all they talk about.
To say that Raymond was passionate about farming would be an understatement. There wasn’t anything he didn’t know, and if there was, he would make it his job to educate himself. His life he gave to his family, farm and his animals.
He was predeceased by his wife Florence Enid MacDonald; parents Hector and Adeline MacDonald; brothers Jim MacDonald, Don MacDonald, and sister Carolyn Graham.
Left to cherish his memory is his son Timothy; son Bradley (Val),Kenton (Brittany), Nishanne (Brighton); son Wade (Misty), Adam; daughter Cindy (Larry), Michael (Laura), Madelyn, Max, Eric (Shyla), Kolter, Kate-Lynne (Jason), Carson, Everly, Dylan, Dawson, Rosalie, Lacey; son Steven (Val), Kevin, (Blyth), Hector, Gwenaviere, Stephanie, Michael (Katie), Eva, Ashley; daughter Crystal (Roger), Destany (Jarid), Conor, Ricky-Ray (Jessica), Haven, Brantley, Leyton, Memory (Nathan), Nash, Bow, R.J.
