Terry came from a large family and being the youngest he was raised by his siblings as well as his parents.
Over the years he worked many jobs from teacher to tv repairman, he also spent a few years at university. He worked on the distant early warning line in the 1980's and had many tales from there. He was very proud to have retired as a third-class power engineer.
He enjoyed all sports from curling, hockey and baseball. Also darts, horseshoes and pool were some of his favourites. When he no longer played he enjoyed watching them on tv.
He is survived by his wife Bette Lynn and her family; son Mike and his family; daughter Teresa & husband Randy Miller and their family; siblings Denyse, Larry and his wife Leonie, and Lil and their families.
Terry enjoyed camping and he and Bette Lynn had lots of road trips around the country to fairs, rodeos and just visiting relatives and friends.
Terry was a member of the men's snooker club at the Neepawa drop-in center. He looked forward to playing every afternoon with the group of sometimes 10-20 fellows on 4 huge tables. He so enjoyed the companionship. He played snooker and 8 ball in the Manitoba summer games all over the province and has a few medals to show for his efforts.
Terry was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer 5 years ago. He had 25 months of chemo and depended on blood and platelet transfusions this last year. He was in hospital a week before he passed away.
Terry was respected by everyone who knew him. He was a good friend to everyone.
We will carry his memory in our hearts.
This is not a real goodbye ... we will meet again.
