Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved brother, uncle, nephew and godfather; Ronald Guy Lavallee, also known as ‘Gee.’ Surrounded by his family, he began his journey to the spirit world on August 13, 2023.

Born from his parents Dorothy ‘Violet’ Lavallee (Beaulieu) and Ronald Lavallee. He was born on May 28, 1968 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. He lived in British Columbia, Brandon, Gladstone, Winnipeg, and travelled across Canada doing various jobs.  He spent most of his life in Sandy Bay, First Nation. He was a man of many talents. Gee was passionate about fishing, he was a very avid fisherman. He always said that he was ‘the number one fisher.’ He took such pride with his fishing skills from setting nets, to filleting, and packaging. Gee also had a love for playing his violin or as he called it ‘his fiddle.’ He always played at family gatherings or just at home ‘tuning’ it up for hours. Gee excelled in anything that he did, from hockey, to dancing pow wow, or fixing anything that needed to be repaired. If something needed fixing and he was unsure how to do it, he would eventually figure it out.  Gee also attained his Engineers’ diploma from Assiniboine Community College in Brandon, MB. He also did carpentry, plumbing, farming, and worked as a septic driver. Gee worked very hard all his life and helped his family as much as he could. Always did his best to lend a helping hand. He will be forever loved, missed, and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his mother Dorothy ‘Violet’ Lavallee (Beaulieu), Sister Jenny, grandparents Hilda and Wilfred Beaulieu and Delpine and Patrice Lavallee,

He leaves to mourn his sisters Sheryl, Karen, Bridget (Jo), Elyssa (Tyne) and Bernadine (Bundi), brother John Paul Lavallee, his special friend Tammy Richard, godchild Megan, Uncles Kenny, Barry, Percy, Aunties Florence, Linda, Deborah, Isabelle, Dad Ronald, (Venetia), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Have a peaceful sleep son, till we meet again, Love Dad.
