Sandra Diane Mousseau
“Blue Sky Woman”
Sandra always welcomed anyone with open arms. She was generous to all that would need help or advocate for them, or if anyone needed a place to sleep or stay temporarily until they got there feet back up.
She used to work as homecare, caregiver and janitor for the band and school and also would be a taxi.
She always attended the Sandy Bay Pow Wow. If her grandkids wanted an outfit, she would go all out to make one for them. Very proud of her family attending the powwow trail/events. She loved playing dice, cards and bingo.
She would join the gospel group. They used to get an invitation to pay respect.
In the past she also played baseball as her number was “69” Lady Lightening’s as they named her “Sweet Sandy 69” or “Sweet Ocean 95”.
Sandra’s grandchildren were her pride and possessions. She listened to all who needed a lending ear. Sandra was funny, a jokester if anything serious she would turn it around to make it funny.
Sandra was predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Mary Mousseau, son Gilbert Mousseau, sister Simone Mousseau, grandchildren Heaven Leigh Amelia Mousseau, and Gilbert Joshua Mousseau.
She is survived by her husband Joseph Richard, sons Wilbert, William (Angelina), Joseph (Munchie); daughter Amanda; sisters Doloris (Andre), Patty (Wilfred), Savanna; brothers Andrew, Curtis(Cathy), Alvin; daughter in law Leslie Scott; godchildren Lena Richard, Ellen Richard, Amberlyn Richard, Michelle Mousseau, Chantelle Malcolm, Linda Richard; grandchildren Ava, Jayanna, Gracie (Junior), Cailee (Treyton), Zoey, A.J.
