Sara Jane (Wall) Petkau

Sara was born to Ben and Kathy Wall on May 31, 1980 in the Portage General Hospital. She was the youngest sibling to Tracey, Philip and Robert. As a youngster she grew up on a farm near MacGregor and later moved to Austin, MB. Sara was known for her straightforward way of thinking and speaking, her passion for raising her daughter, Hanna, the work she did on her beloved clients and her large family. Later in life she was baptized, and she grew passionately for the Lord and everyone around her took notice. She loved working with the kids in the youth group she helped lead.

Her career was very important to her, and she developed her hair styling abilities at The Cellar Door in Portage La Prairie for 13 years.

In 2018 Sara met and married Ernie Petkau. As they began to cultivate their lives together in Manitoba, they decided they were ready for an adventure, so they packed up their things and headed for Texas. They lived there for about 3.5 years, until her unexpected passing.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, John and Tena Wieler, Jacob Wall, and Maria Thiessen. As well as her uncle Wayne Wieler and beloved niece Courtney.

She is survived by her husband Ernie, daughter Hanna (Austin Muller), parents Ben and Kathy Wall, and Tracey (Dan Ginter), Philip (Lana Wall), and Robert (Melanie) and their families. As well as the family she shared with Ernie, Angie Petkau, and Jeff (Stephanie Petkau) and their children.
