It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Shane Alex Braun at the young age of 29 years.
Shane passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Shane was born in Neepawa hospital on June 6, 1996. Shane grew up near Gladstone and was the oldest of 4 children.
Shane had a love for dirtbikes, street bikes, and fast cars from a young age, especially, his Foxbody Mustange he was working on. Shane was a friendly people person; he loved to talk to anyone with a big smile on his face. Shane had a big heart and always willing to help anyone. Shane couldn’t sit still for very long and loved to work. Shane had a few different jobs through the years, he pumped gas, did farming, work doing concrete for many years, also did some plumbing. Shane was great at working on vehicles. Shane spent the last summer helping his Grandpa Braun on the farm which he loved and was happy he got closer with his Grandpa and Grandma Braun and his younger uncle and aunts.
Grandpa had a house in Austin that needs some work, so Shane spent a lot of long days fixing it up. Shane moved into the house and soon got a job working at Giesbrecht and Sons meat shop for Travis Giesbrecht. Shane loved working with Travis, he said it was the best job he’s ever had. Shane also did some tattooing for fun. Shane’s biggest loves were his daughter Elizabeth ( 1 yr, 5 months) and his dog Zena.
Shane was predeceased by his Grandma Braun, Grandma Martens, uncle Randy Martens and Uncle Donovan Venne.
Shane leaves to mourn his daughter Elizabeth, his parents Ike and Audrey, brother James (Kayla), sister Michelle (Steven) Wall, brother Jordan, his nieces Ruby and Kylie, nephew Greyson, his grandparents, many uncles, aunts, cousins and his friends.
I love you, see you soon.
