Susie (Friesen) Wall

            Susie Wall was born on September 19, 1938 to Corney and Susan Friesen in Aberdeen, Sask. She was the 4th oldest of 12 children. She was baptized upon confession of her faith on June 1, 1958 in the Rhineland Church at Inwood, MB.

            Susie met John at the age of 12 years in school, where they developed a bond which continued when the families moved to St. Laurent, MB – Dad’s in 1952 and Mom’s family in 1953. They began dating at 18 and dated for 7 years, finally getting married August 25, 1963. They moved to Austin in 1973, where they raised their 2 boys, John and David.

            Mom loved and cherished her children and grandchildren, praying for them and showing her love through phone calls, visits and “care packages”.

            Mom and Dad served the Lord through their gospel music ministry for 20 years, making many friendships along the way.

            Mom courageously battled leukemia for 2 years and went to meet her Saviour on May 16, 2019.

            She leaves to mourn her passing; her loving husband John; son John (Valerie), Felicia, Hayden and Carter; son David (Sarah), Steven, Josh, Emily and Serena; sisters Mary Dyck (Abe), Tina Arbez, Margret Kessler (Bob); brothers Peter Friesen (Susan), Jake, Henry Friesen (Daryle) and Michael Friesen (Diane); sisters in law Mary Friesen, Katherine Friesen, Valerie Friesen and families.

            Susie was predeceased by her parents Corney and Susan Friesen; 4 brothers John, Cornie, David and Abram.

            The family would like to thank the staff at Cancer Care in Portage, as well as Dr. Kinnear for all the care they gave Mom in the last 2 years.

            We would also like to thank the ministerial, Ladies Aid, pianist and all those involved in the helping with the funeral.

            Many thanks to all who visited, brought food and prayer for Mom and Dad during her illness and after her passing.
