Troy MacDonald Obituary

It is with extreme sorrow the family of Troy announce his passing on December 3, 2022 in Brandon, Manitoba at the age of 56 years.

Troy was born in MacGregor, Manitoba son of Lynne (Anderson) and Allan MacDonald attended the MacGregor Elementary, MacGregor Collegiate and the University of Manitoba.  After University,  Troy was employed with Manitoba Hydro applying his knowledge to the development of computer systems that have been used for many years.  After his time at Hydro Troy moved on to another career working in the Pipeline Oilfield Industry first as a laborer, then quickly worked his way up to becoming a skilled side boom operator working all over Western Canada.  He always seemed to meet , stay with, and become fast friends with someone in every town he worked near.  Refusing to stay in a hotel partly because he saw it as a waste of money but more so because he loved to meet new people and have them become a part of his life. Troy was an exceptionally intelligent person, anyone with computer problems always called Troy. He never lost his temper, loved music, travel , dune buggies, boating and hunting.  Troy was the life of many socials in MacGregor and parties at Jackson's Lake and from stories it seems all over the world as well. The Caribbean and especially the Dominican Republic was a place Troy loved to travel to and became a regular destination of his.

Troy was predeceased by his Mother Georgina Lynne in 2015. Grandparents George and Beth Anderson,  Hector and Adeline MacDonald.  Troy will be sadly missed by his brother Ryan (Rowena) and nephew Cameron MacDonald, His Aunt Beverley Anderson his second Mom, Janet Anderson who had a special place in Troy's heart and still has in the heart of his family, his brother Chad (Tamara) niece Brooklyn and nephew William Ritzer. Father Allan (Cynthia) MacDonald along with many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Extended Families, Lifelong friends and their families.  Troy A.
