It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Valerie Harper (Migisi Ikwe). Born on January 7, 1953, she began her journey to the spirit world on October 23, 2024, in Winnipeg, MB.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her children Peggy (Jason), Jenifer, Christoper, Robert (Wife), Robyn (Jaye); sister Flora, Grace, Ethel, Freda, Jane, Josephine, Beverly, Delphine, Maxine, Sandra; brothers Roger (Roxanne) and Douglas; grandchildren, great grandchildren, numerous aunts, cousins, powpow family, and friends.
She was predeceased by her mother Margaret, husband Elijha Harper, brother Joseph, sister Gertrude Harper, grandchildren Kathleen Chaskey, Paul Jr. Chaskey, Morning Star Chaske, Naomi Chaskey.
Forever in our hearts, always on our mind, doesn’t say enough.
You were more than a loving memory. You were our light, our smile, our love, our home, you were everything beautiful & strong. You were a beautiful mother, grandmother, aunt, sister & friend. Beautiful dancer, you made your family bigger on the powwow trails, you loved dancing and kept dancing and for you we’ll continue to dance along side you when we look up in the sky.
