Victoria Jarnouin Obituary

It is with great sadness and aching hearts that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother, Victoria Louise Jarnouin on January 17, 2026. Her passing was caused by complications due to pneumonia.

Vicki was born on September 28th , 1950 to John and Jessie Gutoski at the Neepawa Hospital, Neepawa, Manitoba.

She was the youngest of 3 siblings 2 of whom she was proceeded in death. She grew up on a farm in the Neepawa area. She received her Grade 12 education at the Neepawa School.

Vicki married Doug Yandeau on May 29th , 1971 in Neepawa, Manitoba. They were married for 25 years and were blessed with one son Gerald (Jerry), Austin, Manitoba.

On July 25, 1998 Vicki was joined in marriage with Ray Jarnouin in Portage la Prairie. They resided on his farm in Woodside. He had 4 children living at home at the time, Kerry, Malinda, Kathy, and Calvin. Calvin has passed away.

Vicki had a great love for animals and could not turn away a stray cat. She liked her flowers, cooking, and mowing the lawn. She loved sunshine and being outdoors when the weather was favorable.

Vicki worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years. She worked in Home Care for 2 years and 5 years at Eastview Lodge as a Care Aide. While working there she took her Health Care Aide Course.

By a miracle of God she was reunited with her daughter Sheri and husband Jason, and 4 grandchildren. They reside at Durham, Kansas.

Vicki suffered a serious stroke in 2011 and spent several months in the hospital. She moved into Third Crossing Manor, Gladstone, Manitoba in May of 2015. She enjoyed Bingo, games and crafts and looked forward to the many visits from her husband Ray, son Jerry, and daughter Sheri and family. We appreciate the loving care she received there.

She gave her heart to Jesus at an altar call in her youth. Later in her life she learned to love Jesus as her Savior and Comfort. A week before her passing she mentioned that she was ready to go to Jesus. We are comforted with the thought that she is no longer in pain.

She will be fondly remembered and missed by those who loved her.
