William Anthony Porrok

            Passed away at the Country Meadows Personal Care Home, Neepawa on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the age of 93 years.

          William “Bill” Porrok was born on the family farm near Mountain Road, Manitoba on April 24, 1926 to Michael and Catherine Porrok.  He was the 7th of 8 children. Bill passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the age of 93 years.

          Bill lived a full life, married Helen Porrok (nee Baraniuk) on November 6, 1954. They raised three children; William, Susan and Michael. Bill farmed most of his life and drove a school bus for a short while as well. He talked about his past horses frequently and had a passion for them. He told us a lot of stories from his younger years working with his Dad and brother cutting and hauling wood with a horse and sleigh for only $1/cord.

          Remembering to forever cherish Bill’s memory are his son William; daughter Susan and son Michael (Valerie); 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
